The History of Dal Tempe Farm
Dal Tempe Farm is located just west of Ficksburg in eastern Free State. The farm has been in existence sine 1896. The first owner had a vision for a nature reserve within an agricultural holding – founded on the belief that sustainable agriculture can only succeed with the support of natural systems.
Today, that vision continue in the work and activities on the farm. Only a quarter of the farm is used for essential oil production and other farm related activities. The rest of the farm has been set aside for nature reserve.
